A handy stretching tray for crocheted pieces. Of course, you can also ping-pong knitwear, but be aware that the ping-pongs are thick, they can easily leave a hole in the knitwear. You can stretch several patches at a time, by stacking the patches on top of each other on the spikes. If the patches are small, you can use the whole surface area, starting from the corner of the base.
Use:
- place the first pin from underneath the board, either starting from the corner, or from the middle.
- measure the length of the side of the patch to be pinged, measure the same from the nail to the side and insert another nail.
- repeat for two more pages
- wet and squeeze the drop to be tightened and place it in place by the spikes
- add the rest of the tightenable patches as well
- if you wish, you can add additional needles on the long side, between the appropriate posts
The nail is not supposed to sink into the board, but is left slightly outside. If you leave the substrate on the table, air can circulate underneath the board as well, speeding up the drying of the patch.
Size 17.5 x 17.5 cm, thickness 2 mm. The sheet is plant-based PLA plastic, so it will not warp when exposed to water. It is not resistant to hot water above 60°C or steam from an iron, for example.
The nails are made by the Finnish company Pintos. The nails are "clear", i.e. they have no roughness, so they are suitable for even the finest threads. The nail length is 10 cm.
