Andean Plying tool

The spinner's handy tool for folding thread! This is known as the "Andean plying tool". Twist the pin into place and wind the spun yarn onto the reel for a convenient double-ended winding.

The pin is screwed in place (metal screw and counterpart) so it is sturdy and easy to remove. You can easily slip the yarn around the palm of your hand, and the start and stop ends are easy to find. The yarn unwinds from both ends and you can easily collect even small amounts.

Material PLA plastic. PLA softens at temperatures above 60 degrees Celsius. PLA is an environmentally friendly plastic made mainly from plant-based materials such as corn.
