Dog's head clay cutter

Dog's head clay cutter. A cute little dog with floppy ears to make both earrings and buttons. Use a thick darning needle to make the button holes.

 

It is a good idea to use, for example, cling film or potato flour in between, so that the clay sheet does not stick to the cutter. Size 1 is used in the pictures.

 

Cutter sizes measured from the inside, height:

1: 20 x 28

2: 25 x 35

3: 30 x 42

4: 35 x 49

5: 40 x 55

6: 45 x 62

7: 50 x 69

8: 55 x 76

9: 60 x 83

 

The cutter has a patterned surface that works best with a 3 mm thick ground sheet. In this case, the pattern is pressed into the clay by about a millimetre.

The polymer clay cutters are printed in Finland, from plant-based, biodegradable plastic. The cutter must not be heated or put in the oven. The cutter starts to soften at around 60 degrees Celsius.

Clean the cutter after use, wipe off any visible clay.
