Heart cutter (contour)

A heart cutter with a chunk bitten off? Pacman heart? If you make this out of a thick sheet of clay, you can glue the earring pin to the side of the opening and get earrings that turn sideways. Or, if you're making different coloured hearts, you can chain them together by attaching them to each other from the cut edge.

Cutter sizes measured from the inside, width:

1: 3 cm

2: 3.5 cm

3: 4 cm

4: 4.5 cm

5: 5 cm

 

The cutter needs a little more pressure than a metal cutter. The cutting edges will be sharp and precise. You can also use cling film or a piece of plastic bag in between the cutter and the polymer clay, if you want rounder edges.

The polymer clay cutters are printed in Finland, from plant-based, biodegradable plastic. The cutter must not be heated or put in the oven. The cutter starts to soften at around 60 degrees Celsius.

Clean the cutter after use, wipe off any visible clay.
