How do you put a lock on a metric chain? You can use a fork, or a slider jig.
Put the lock on the slider jig and insert the ends of the metric chain into the lock. This slider jig can be used with locks of different widths. The picture shows a 6 mm lock and zipper.
Place the lock as shown in the picture, with the bottom facing you and the wide openings facing upwards. Take the zipper, unlock the teeth and place the zipper with the wrong side facing you, on both sides of the lock and pull the fabric down evenly so that both sides come out of the bottom of the lock at the same time. Pull the lock out of the rack and remember to sew the zipper ends with stoppers!
